Formed in 1898 to address rail breaks, ASTM (formerly American Society for Testing and Materials) is today an international organization that forms committees consisting of experts, academics, manufacturers and other invested groups to develop standards and compliance certifications.

PM holds expert-level ASTM standard knowledge and routinely assists customers – consumers and indeed manufacturers – with standards interpretations, manufacturing and testing advice that demonstrates compliance to the various ASTM guidelines.
