What is Grade 5 Titanium used for?
Titanium Grade 5 – a stronger titanium alloy – accounts for 50% of titanium applications.
It’s wide usage is due to the many benefits of Titanium Grade 5;
- Titanium Grade 5 can be heat-treated to increase it’s strength
- Can be welded in service temperatures of up to 600° F
- High strength yet light weight
- High formability
- High corrosion resistance
Due to these many benefits, Titanium Grade 5 is used in many industries:
- Aircraft turbines & structures
- High performance automatic parts
- Marine applications
- Sports equipment
- and more.
