PMIS sends volunteers to 9th Annual Lakeland CarBQ
Lakeland Chamber of Commerce’s 9th Annual CarBQ
We love being headquartered in little Lakeland, Florida. The local community comes together for many events, including unique events such as the Lakeland Chamber Annual CarBQ. The CarBQ is the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce’s annual fundraiser in which they sell barbeque lunches to local businesses to raise funds.
The lunches are $10 each, and the food is typically donated by sponsors such as Johnson’s BBQ, GFS, and more. This year’s CarBQ setup took place at Two Men and a Truck off US Hwy 98. Black and Brew donated breakfast and much-needed coffee.
Businesses may drive to the assembly location to pick up their pre-ordered lunches, or have them delivered by ordering 10 or more lunches for the office.
PM employees Joanie Malone, Andrea Merritt, and Jeremy Taylor volunteered at this year’s event, Lakeland’s 9th annual CarBQ. They had a blast packaging pickles, spooning out baked beans, and slinging barbeque sauce to help assemble over 1800 barbeque lunches for the workers of Lakeland.
It was a great way to start our Friday!
